Xavier Bartrolí Pascual
Xavier has a Bachelor of Arts in nursing, a Diploma in Tropical Diseases and Public Health in Developing Countries, a Diploma in Conflict Management and Peacebuilding of the University of Barcelona (UAB) and an International Diploma in Humanitarian Assistance (IDHA) by Fordham University, he has also undertaken other complementary courses regarding training techniques and humanitarian aid.
With almost 20 years of experience in humanitarian aid, he worked for 7 years in Action Against Hunger as Project and Mission manager, mainly in African contexts. After that, he worked with the Catalan Agency for Cooperation and Development as Humanitarian Aid Technician.
Since 2008, Xavier has worked as an independent consultant carrying out several evaluations on humanitarian emergency and development interventions for different INGO’s such as MSF, Intermon Oxfam, Caritas, ANESVAD or NRC. Along these years, he has also contributed to the design, development and implementation of several trainings approaches for different institutions such as Fordham University. From April 2016 to June 2017, he works as technical assistant for FIIAPP, in a project for the Humanitarian Aid Bureau of the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and Development.
He is co-founder of the Cooperativa Humanitaria and contributes to the design and implementation of all medical trainings and activities.
