David Querol Pérez
A Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Business Management at the University of Barcelona. With more than 20 years’ experience in international cooperation, David starts his professional career in 1993 as humanitarian aid worker in Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières) and in the Spanish Commission for Refugee Aid (CEAR).
In 2000, after 3 years as deputy of the Operations Desk in MSF's (Médecins Sans Frontières) Headquarters in Barcelona, he moves to Nairobi, Kenya, where he works several years as Head of Mission and Security Manager Advisor for MSF in Somalia, South Sudan and Kenya.
From 2013 to 2015 he is the manager of the NGO Safety Program (NSP) for Somalia, providing analysis, context knowledge and support in order to define strategies for international NGO’s with presence in Somali ground.
In 2016, David moves his residence back to Spain and becomes co-founder of Cooperativa Humanitaria, where he contributes to the design and implementation of all training relating to security management at humanitarian teams.
